AWARD DESCRIPTIONS

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
The Gwinnett Chamber’s highest honor, given annually to the individual deemed most outstanding based on his or her service to Gwinnett County and the citizens wherein.

PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD
Presented to well-respected individuals based on their service to other people, objectives, and the Gwinnett community as a whole, above and beyond excellence in one’s own profession, business, service or enterprise. Multiple Public Service Awards will be bestowed.

JAMES J. MARAN INTERNATIONAL AWARD
This award recognizes an international company that has chosen to locate in Gwinnett, taking advantage of Gwinnett’s pro-business mindset, and has become active in both the community and the Chamber.

D. SCOTT HUDGENS HUMANITARIAN AWARD
Will be awarded to the charitable institution best demonstrating the spirit of compassion and generosity which Hudgens so deeply embodied.

R. WAYNE SHACKELFORD LEGACY AWARD
This special posthumous award is presented to honor the memory and legacy of an individual who made a significant difference in the history and progress of Gwinnett County. This award is given to someone who has passed away within the last year.
